Pink Skull Party

My daughter loves girly skulls, so we hosted a Pink Skull party for her 9th birthday. This is a fun party theme for this age group and the girls all had a great time.

I found a really cute Pink Skull birthday invitation for the party invites.

The design featured the same Pink Skull image as the partyware we had chosen. It also had cute pink hearts all around it.

The invitation was personalized with all of our birthday party details.

We decided on the hot pink and black Pink Skull party supplies for my daughter's birthday party. The colors and design were perfect!

We purchased the dinner plates, dessert plates, cups, napkins, thank you cards, stickers, hot pink latex balloons, skull latex balloons and Mylar balloons. We then used a black table cover and hot pink utensils. As part of the cake table decoration, we used the Pink Skull centerpiece.

For a cute birthday party decoration, we purchased the personalized vinyl birthday banner as an add-on to the party pack.   It looked fantastic in the party room.

These vinyl banners are very durable and are available in three different sizes: 18" x 61", 24" x 80" and 30" x 100". They can be used indoors or outdoors.

In addition to the Pink Skull partyware and birthday banner mentioned above, we also included many other fun party table decorations.

Balloon Centerpiece:
We used three of the balloons (one Mylar and two latex) as the table centerpiece. I attached the three balloons to a hot pink balloon weight. I like when the party guests can see across the table to the guests on the other side, so I made sure to have a good height for the balloons.

Lollipop Display:
I also used a cute Wilton lollipop holder. I tied black, pink and white curling ribbon onto pink lollipops placed them in the holder. I then topped the lollipop stand with a Pink Skull image.

Fresh Flowers:
Adding fresh flowers to the party table is a new thing that I just love to do! They look beautiful and smell wonderful. I purchased a hot pink vase and filled it with light pink and dark pink flowers. To add a dash of black, I also included a few artificial black flowers that I bought at the local craft store. I finished off the vase with a pink skull ribbon and black bow. It was very cute!

Candy Dish:
For a delicious party snack which doubled as a table decoration, I filled two clear bowls with light pink, hot pink and black colored M & M's. You can purchase M & M's in any color to match your party decor. I love this!

 Purchase a Wilton Lollipop display and insert a Pink Skull image on the top. 

Fill the lollipop holder with skull lollipops or pink and/or black lollipops.  Wrap each lollipop with coordinating colored curling ribbon. 

We made Pink Skull cupcakes for my daughter's birthday party using edible cupcake toppers.

For a fun Pink Skull party activity, the girls decorated tote bags. I purchased cute Pink Skull rhinestones and ironed them onto the bags before the party. I then handed out fabric markers and stencils for the girls to use to decorate their tote bags.

We purchased a handmade Pink Skull pinata from Awesome Pinatas. I was SO impressed with the quality and workmanship that was put into this pinata. I had never purchased from them before, but definitely will again!

The pinata coordinated perfectly with the Pink Skull partyware and decor. I filled it with some small candies and the girls used a stick to hit it. They had a lot of fun!

I purchased the Grow Your Own PInk Skull as a party craft. These pink skulls grown in size when placed in water. They start to grow within 2 hours and grow to full size in 3 days. Since we were having a sleepover party and we had the time to let them grow a bit, I used them as a party activity. If you are not having a sleepover party, you could opt to use these as party favors.

I purchased clear cups and wrote each of the girls name on their cup. They took their pink skull and placed it in the water. They kept checking on their skulls during the party and first thing in the morning once they were up. When the guests were ready to leave, I took a piece of Saran Wrap, placed it on top of the each cup and tied it with a rubber band. This way it was ready for travel.

I was at my sister's house a few weeks after the party and I noticed the Pink Skull cup on their counter. My sister said that my niece loves it. She keeps taking it in and out of the cup! (the skull goes back down to it's original size once it is removed from the water.)
