How To Make a Hannah Montana Birthday Cake

Hannah Montana remains a very popular birthday party theme for girls. With the release of the Hannah Montana movie recently, this popularity is on the rise. If you are hosting a Hannah Montana theme party for your daughter, you will find some terrific birthday cake ideas here.

A popular cake design for this theme is a guitar cake. These cakes can be made with a guitar cake pan or hand designed. As mentioned above, the guitar cake is one of the most popular cake designs for a Hannah Montana theme birthday party. A guitar cake can also be used for a Jonas Brothers or Guitar Hero theme party.

There are many ways in which you can make a guitar cake. The first would be to purchase a Wilton Guitar Cake Pan #2015-570. This cake pan comes with complete decorating instrucitons. You can decorate it in pinks and purples to coordinate with your party theme and even add on fondant accents to create a Hannah Montana logo or add on stars. Wilton guitar cake pan instructions.

Another option would be to create the guitar shape by using a template. You could create your own template by tracing an actual guitar, drawing it by hand or printing a guitar template from the Internet. Then, using parchment paper or freezer paper, you can carve out the guitar shape from your prebaked cake.

Edible cake images, or toppers, are always a great idea for a birthday cake. You can purchase a Hannah Montana edible cake image that is personalized with your daughter's name and age.

There are many designs to chose from including Hannah Montana's older look as well as a cake featuring images from her recent movie. So, regardless of which Hannah look is your daughter's favorite, you can create a cake in that theme.

One of the most popular designs is a tiered fondant cake. Many of these fondant cakes are two tiers with the top tier featuring Hannah herself. Have your daughter select her favorite Hannah photo and you can then print it out and have it laminated. Once laminated, you can insert it into the top of the cake using a popsicle stick or wooden skewer. You can even add gltter and rhinestones to the photos.

As pictured above, fondant bows make a wonderful accent to your birthday cake.

These bows are fairly simple to create and look terrific on the cake. You could also add fondant around the sides of the cake so that it resembles a wrapped birthday present.
